Dr. Lindsay Tierney

White woman with long brown hair and black glasses

I began my professional career working in Neuropsychology as a psychometrist, which eventually led to working in Accessibility Resources and Dean of Students offices within higher education for nearly a decade.

Beginning in 2021, I decided to compile my many years of experience, education, and research in working with college students into working as an academic coach/educational consultant. I also teach at the college level in first-year student success courses, in addition to serving in a Dean of Students capacity full-time.

While open to working with all types of students, I specialize in working with students in STEM and healthcare programs. I also welcome working with neurodivergent students, specifically those with ADHD and Anxiety.

I completed my Doctorate of Education in Leadership Studies from University of Lynchburg. My dissertation research investigated the relationship between self-determination and academic success for college students with disabilities. I also hold degrees in Psychology (B.S.) and Rehabilitation Counseling (M.S.).
